I remember when I was a kid.... Anyway, back around the late 70's early 80's I recall that winters here in the LA area were WINTERS. That is, we'd get pounding rain storm after rain storm, for weeks to months at a time. I mean the kind with lots of thunder and lightning - the kind where storm drains couldn't keep up and there was a foot of water in the streets. Now-a-days, a few drops get your windshield wet and the news is all over it like flies on doo-doo with top of the news "Storm Watch" stories. Unless, back then was actually the oddity and now is the norm? I dunno, I was just a kid then....
