Just below, on July 2, Barbara posted a query regarding a NV swarm north of Vegas, and Chris provided a short, generalized answer to her post: "Barbara, I don't really know but the whole state is part of the Basin and Range, which is stretching. The action is now mostly on the edges: Long Valley California and the Wasatch Front in Utah. But, the M6 in north(east) Nevada says that the intervening rangefront faults are not dead."
