Tony, I phrase it a little differently: How do you burn up all the fossil fule stored over 100 million years and more (or, in the case of California, stored over the last 17 million years), in a few hundred years, potentially doubling the CO2 levels (is up about 35% already, and this is measured: is fact, not theory), and expect no consequences?

What is more scientifically interesting is what the consequences will be, and how long it will take.
