I'm not saying I'm perfect, but something I once read regarding studying those whom are lacking in skills of critical thinking, is something written by Baruch Spinoza, and now known as Spinoza's Dictum,

"I have made a ceaseless effort not to ridicule, not to bewail,
not to scorn human actions, but to understand them."

I strive for this standard, but admit don't always succeed.
