Subduction in Oregon and South |
Well I am not out on any limb here. My Pacific Plate "TO" Hypothesis is based in part on a quake of 8.5M> in the Cascadia. I have been saying this now since apprx. 1993. Cascadia does not have to be a part of the equation, but if it is, then surely my scenario will pan out as I had seen it back then. If Cascadia is in, then damage and such will be from Eureka, North to Seattle, unless a secondary happens on the SA afterwards (*which I think may happen). If Cascadia is out, then the damage etc will be from Eureka south to SFO and THEN a secondary may well happen on the Cascadia. My reckoning says two quakes and quite possibly a few smaller ones to pick up the slack:-) Follow Ups: ● Re: Speaking of Oregon... - Canie 16:30:46 - 5/8/2001 (7478) (0) |
