Anyway...I note that the lead author on the Science paper was Firestone, who is co-author of the book. The book cover shows statues of some sort of advanced civilization being wiped out by a flood---no doubt to appeal to the Atlantis/Mu/antediluvian civilization buffs. However, it is fairly well written--lots of stuff about HOW the particles, black mat, etc. were discovered, so much more populist.

The Kennetts, of course, are very well respected and that never hurts when the name is on a paper! It always surprises me, though, when this makes headlines in the news three years later...oh well!
