If all else fails, there are professional "invention" companies here in the U.S. that will take an idea or original device and do all of the patent work for you etc. I believe that they will either charge a fee for the work or will do it for free in exchange for a percentage of any profits that are generated.

People using those services need to do some research on them to make certain they are dealing with legitimate organizations. Some invention companies are probably outright frauds. Others probably promise everything but deliver nothing.
