I bring to your attention one of the greatest debates in science. The one between Albert Einstein who claimed that Nature is orderly in his relativity theory("God didnt toss the dice when he made the earth....") and Nils Bohr who claimed that Nature is chaotic in his Quantum theory. Recently in Geneva Switzerland a scientific experiment with photons proved that Bohr was right. The application of this to earthquake prediction is intriguing in the sence that earthquakes like people are different from one to another and that makes life difficult when one tries to apply a scientific earthquake prediction method to all quakes. That is why we are still working on postdictions after they occur in order to learn and classify. Thats the spice of life... keep on trying though.
