The first version of the program to be made available will simply let people compare earthquakes with one another so that they can tell if they were triggered by similar forces. It will not have anything to do with predicting earthquakes. The next major version is scheduled to let people generate code in response to the input of data related to the times that electromagnetic pulses are detected. The program will then try to match that code with similar code associated with the more than 40,000 earthquakes in the database file and show where the fault zone is located that was responsible for the electromagnetic pulse. I have to do some additional programming to get that version ready as the code I am using is in an Excel program instead of Perl. Additionally, the original energy source for those pulses might not be the fault zone itself but rather the Earth's geomagnetic energy field. When it interacts with a fault zone where an earthquake is getting ready to occur, those pulses are generated. Many researchers have assumed that fault zone processes are the source of energy for those signals. In some cases they probably are. In other cases the original energy source is elsewhere. Anyway, those are the theories that are being presently considered.
