While I cannot prove/disprove the ear tone idea, I am very reluctant to accept the "after the fact" subjective reporting.

Given the hundreds of people that claim ear tone prediction issues (alas, I have tinnitis and my ears ring all of the time! Maybe because I live in California!), somebody is bound to have had an ear tone that they feel predicted this quake--possibly several people in retrospect.

Just my opinion on this. Like all prediction methods, I believe that they should be reported before the quake, and very specifically.

Glen's "gut level feeling" still amazes me, though!
