It's implausible that days after an M6 earthquake would have lower rates of earthquakes than the days before at great distances from the epicenter.

I'd recommend extending the analysis out far enough in time that there is no longer a difference between the before and after rates as a first step in tracking down what is resolvable and then why it might happen.
