OK Roger, We'll get with you on Wabash, when ready. Thanx. I think Don said that it depends on if the P wave is parallel to the affected fault. The problem in my mind is the large number of faults that are perpendicular or parallel to the ring, and how to determine if any subsequent quake is actually statistically significant. I'll get back on this, but I think I read some studies (Thatcher???) on trapped waves in the Anza Seismic Gap. I'm a bit tired, but the way I conceptualize this is a wave front passing through a fracture zone, and the less dense material in the zone setting up a tertiary wave up and down the fault. Maybe enough action to overcome a small asperity? Or set off some increase in micro seismicty? I'm brain drained right now. I guess such a scenario is possible. Have to have telemetric data though. And some math... Glen
