It will be interesting to see if they come up with iso-seismal mapping and if the map expresses the "dumbell" charachter of the two asperities. By dumb-bell I mean one large area separated from the other, like a set of lifting weights. Some of the iso-seismals and the directivity plots for strike-slip quakes in California are concentric and well defined for the reference strike. If I have read those right, the PGA and PGV have been fairly well established. We are still learning, so any input is much appreciated....Out to the Elsinore on Saturday, and will share what we observe..
