Congratulations. My daughter (DIS) is now in college and tried to get a short story published in literary magazines without luck so far. Eventually she will...if not this story, a future one.
I just emailed HW to ask for Rocket City (?) for my birthday (HW was in next room but had to email so she had it in writing). If I can make it through it it may not be a compliment, because my attention span is so short a book has to be a little "lite" for me to make it through. OK, not completely true...books like "Into Thin Air" are great books (true stories), and I made it through some of them (Krakauer...also..."A Walk in the woods" Bill Bryson, and other Bryson books). John McPhee used to be my favority author and I've been trying to get DIS to read "Coming into the Country", but she won't because I (as father) am suggesting it. I have to make it through a Terry Pratchet book before she will read McPhee. I tried and got bogged down.
