AGU official position on climate change

Well, I better give some background in case anyone wants to know why they should believe a science organization with 50,000 members rather than their US senator from Oklahoma, their fiction writer, or an oil company geologist who has never done climate research and probably never read a scientific paper on the subject. The American Geophysical Union has become very international, and includes most of the U.S. (and maybe global) scientists who work on climate issues. They now have 50,000 members, including most of the research professors and professional researchers who work in earth science outside of the oil industry.
They revised and updated their December 2003 position on climate change and their position paper from December 2007 is linked. One other position paper is on natural hazards...
