USGS job, earthquake prediction

Note the "time, place, and magnitude". This is for a chief scientist USGS job. I'd heard over the last couple of years that seismologists have to take short term earthquake prediction seriously again....hence, SCEC's earthquake predictability efforts: "For this team, responsibilities include oversight on geological, geophysical, and engineering investigations, including the assessment of hazards from earthquakes; research on the mechanism and occurrence of them; development of methods for predicting the time, place and magnitude of earthquakes; and the evaluation of earthquake potential."
