One of my best gas mileage cars was my BMW 328is.. 32-34 MPG highway..

I now have a Volvo XC70 that gets about 24-26MPG Highway if I keep the speed within speed limits..

I refuse to buy a hybrid car that gets a measly 34MPG - 48MPG.. why aren't these things getting higher gas mileage? There's certainly no advantage to the consumer - no return on the investment to buy one of these hybrids.. I'm certain the technology is there to do a much better job.
