I don't think that it would surprise anybody who knows me even distantly that I am totally disgusted and appalled by what George Bush and his minions have done to this country.

A true scientist would never support this man. He is the antithesis of everything that the scientific method and truth seekers represent...an ignorant man who is determined to have his own way no matter what.

That said---I am so totally unimpressed by most of our presidential candidates right now that I don't even watch them on TV. Almost all of them would do better that our incumbent president. However, I fear that Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama will simply never be elected, and hand the presidency to another right wing religious candidate who will be unwilling to support true science.

Lewis Black is great. His description of appearing at the Bush dinner thing was sensational--I forget which DVD it is on. But he's not nearly as angry as I am at our current guvmint.
