The idea of a spiders web is that it is built in such a way as for the spider to sense any movement on it...hopefully food. One might say tho' that if the web were 5 miles diameter then the spider would have no way of detecting, providing spider remained same size...but that would be a detection problem *with the spider*... NOW.. Take Golden as an another example. People in Golden (CO) cannot detect a 4.1 quake off of the Triple Junction (CA), but INSTRUMENTS can report them to humans. So...there is a connection between Golden and the MTJ. Who can say whether or not specific persons have an ability either learned or natural, to sense earthquakes before- during and/or after a quake. I think the idea very valid even though I have not come up with the mechanics as it is out of my biological ballpark. For these reasons alone I contend that earth as we perceive it is quite capable of sending signals and certain individuals can refine or discover how to "feel" those signals. What gave someone the insight to name a machine "Spyder"? Bob
