Earthquake Map Project An effort is getting underway to develop a free for use plotting program which will draw an expandable world map. With the map there will be earthquake fault zone drawings etc. that can be superimposed on it. The Gnuplot chart drawing program http://www.gnuplot.info will probably be used. It is a free download. And it is powerful, versatile, and easy to use. It can also interactively link quite easily with Perl and a variety of other programs such as Basic etc. Over the years a considerable amount of map drawing work has been done by other researchers. And when possible those already available resources will be used. |
