Mendocino Triple Junction |
The son, his wife, and my precious grandbaby have moved to a house in Little River, just one inlet over from Mendocino. Over the last nine years that I've been watching CA earthquakes, I've seen dozens well off the coast, and hardly a one onshore. What gives? Is stress accumulating there? What does the faulting on land look like? What is the largest magnitude earthquake they could have in that area? Should I be able to sleep at night?
