1811-1812 was a big year for what is now the 48 states: The New Madrid quakes (4 big ones), a San Andreas Wrightwood quake, and 13 days later, another M7+...maybe offshore Santa Barbara, or possibly Ventura basin or somewhere else...I think there may have been a global outbreak of some sort, but not sure.
