Sure makes me wonder about the geothermal energy extraction at the Salton Sea. I also remember that 5 mag south of Louisiana about a year or so ago. I suppose it is fully plausible that drilling and extracting or altering pressures can create volcanism or earthquake activity. Don't know enough aboutit, though.
