If you had all those strange symptoms and doctors said there was no physical reason for them, what would you do?

You might say you're a nutcase and have yourself committed.

Or you might look for correlations between your symptoms and external influences.

That can lead to some weird explanations like government tampering, alien influences reptiliods from inner earth, whatnot.

or you might see earthquakes as a cause. That's also weird but at least it sounds possible to laymen.
