...actually is not so hard...

1. Code as you normally would - Fortran, C or C++
2. Include the minimally provided headers/libraries included in MPICH.
3. Compile with a Fortran, C or C++ switch using MPICH's compile interface binary to the three mentioned languages...
4. Execute using MPICHs execution interface binary.

What I will do is create one account with one MPICH installation - mirrored across the slaves. Allow anyone who requests to ssh in Friday nights and give it a try.
