Ok. Elevator shut down. Makes sense.

Something I'm not clear on is what the pre-trigger does. There's no mention of it on the Qtronics website.

But, perhaps it was set too sensitively and vibrations from the elevator shaft itself were causing the system to trigger? This could be supported if the false triggers only occurred during elevator use.
