Just a minor quibble, Glen, but change does not necessarily equal evolution. You statement doesn't even parse using the biological definition, so, using the other primary definitions, evolution involves increasing complexity or more sophistication. Other definitions do, sort of, support evolution = change, but, then, your statement becomes a bit trivial, it seems to me.

It is interesting to note that nothing in biological evolution supports the concept that evolution involves a tendency toward "improvement."
