Yes Chris, Northridge was a real dusty quake. I remember watching news copters showing the aftershocks and the dust rising. My point is that somebody has to scientifically prove that an earthquake can change the state of vapor conditions at altitude. I am assuming that is what Shou means by cloud formation. This possibility would require a good deal of heat energy exchange from ground to atmosphere. The only other thing I can think of is a pressure gradient, atmospheric, that could change the latent heat of condensation at altitude. Which gets to the gist of the anthro angle. Were there any different cloud formations either before or after Sumatra? There was a blizzard of human witnesses. I have read no reports on this. Maybe somebody else here has. Until I see further evidence, "eq clouds" are but a myth.
