You're preaching to the choir here. The essence of the abstract was that
there was considerable far-field triggering from the San Francisco earthquake
of 1906 at distances much greater than a rupture length. This is now commonly
held belief (especially after the clear triggering of events as far away as
Yellowstone after the 1992 Lander earthquake) among most geophysicists.
