Orginally companies like Pacific Bell promised it at as low as $50.00 per month. They even rolled out part of it here in San Jose...then suddenly...STOP!.

Nothing since - everything turned off.

Visited a 30 year old apartment complex in Willow Glen back in 1998 where literally each apartment had fiber termination from Pacific Bell. Owner thought it was awesome - wasn't to happy with the sudden switch to OFF. For awhile it was a selling point for rentals.
