2 things - Chewed up? I don't see where anything got chewed up - can you not read some of the posts? The other is i think the main problem is how to score it when it isn't an exact hit within the prediction but there may be something close - its the "how to score the close one's" that seems to be a problem. Tough to base it on anything. I think it would be pretty easy to track any single predictor if we could agree on the close one's. And yes, its arbitrary - and depends on size - there are many examples below where you don't want to score a prediction for a 3 the same as a prediction for a 6 - if i predict a 6.5 in 2 days out in the mohave and a 6.7 hits just south of the border how should it be scored?
