Actually there are other things going on as well where more power could get brought into the system but isn't (if these newspaper accouts are correct). One is that the wind generators over by Tehachapi aren't hooked up into the grid. At the time, it was cost prohibitive to build power lines to connect them to the rest of the grid. At the time, it would have caused to much electricity to be brought into the system causing prices to go down too much. There is also another power plant capable of generating 1500 megawatts that isn't running because they can't afford to buy the natural gas to run it. So we do have ways of bringing more power into the system, but for some reason these other sources are being ignored. I wonder what it could be. Dennis
