You have a problem. The procedure you're using is not a sliding average. All it does is make the counts wrong by counting some quakes multiple times. Some of the peaks you get that way are artificial.

I have a problem too. As a result of multiple screw-ups I have lost many of my programs, including the ones I did for you. Did I send the source code to you by any chance? If so, could you email them to me?
