The largest such crack was located near the intersection of Summit Road and Highway 17 in Santa Cruz County, and was 650 yards long, 2.5 feet wide, and showed 2.5 feet of left-lateral offset at one point.

If the above had occurred on one side of a street under a row of earthquake ready houses, I wonder what it would have done to those houses.
