The entire Wikipedia article on earthquake prediction is wrong, and needs to be edited to remove the inaccuracies, bias and misinformation. I'm not familiar with the editing process, and would be hard-pressed to find the time at the moment anyhow. So - any takers? I'm not sure, but it is possible that Wikipedia is set up so those with bona fides carry more editing weight than those who don't. John V. - this would be a valuable public service contribution for you or some seismologist involved with public information to tackle - whaddya think? Even allowing for the little bit of factual information provided in the Wikipedia article, it is, in total, slanted so as to support the viewpoint that prediction is not only possible, but actually being accomplished.
