I think all the hospitals in Long Beach are on fault lines... not a comforting thought.. keep your own supplies on hand..

My neighbor across the street used to be a nurse (she's in her 80's? now) - I'm somewhat familiar with first aid, having had training to be a surgical technician about 30 years ago.. rusty, but still good..

Bandaids aren't worth anything.. make sure you have sheets and things you can cut up and use as pressure bandages, slings, etc.. lots of good tape.. peroxide, betadine, some surgical gloves for cleanliness...
