Kuril 8.3 - 8.2 = After shock?

Hi all!

With in a time frame of 90 days the following GREAT Quakes occurred
more or less on the same location as listed below:

15Nov2006 11:14:16.8 46.7N 153.2E 27 M =8.3 M*NEI KURIL ISLANDS
13Jan2007 04:23:22.3 46.3N 154.6E 30 Mw=8.2 M*EMS EAST OF KURIL ISLANDS

Many experts opined that if a location experienced by a Great Quake it will
take couple of years for another Great one on the same location. Also the
present quake was less than .1M (as of now I am telling) of the Nov.06.
So whether it comes under AFTER SHOCK category of the previous one?

Shan
