1857 San Andreas, John Crowell |
I used a years CO2 yesterday...driving alone 140 miles to Kansas City Airport, flying to Santa Barbara, and then driving to Bakersfield. Not too bad a drive...a best of Toots and the Maytals playing, full moon, and 8 billion trucks climbing the Tejon pass. Kind of like a bad video game. I stopped off at Gorman. I stopped right in the parking lot between the motel and the Carl's junior. I'd been to the Carl's Junior there about 15 years ago on a field trip with John Crowell. John said to the best of what he could determine the 1857 rupture of the the San Andreas fault passed through the swimming pool of the motel (and the motel itself) and through or very close to the Carl's Jr.It looked like the pool is gone but the motel is not. These must pre-date Alquist Priola law. Follow Ups: ● Re: 1857 San Andreas, John Crowell - Cathryn 00:51:15 - 1/5/2007 (61742) (0) |
