Hello,

I know a lot of people are wondering if the quakes near Indio (Mecca) are foreshocks to something much larger. After looking at some of the stress triggering papers by Toda, Pollitz and others, it would seem this area does not have long. If I am reading those right, both Landers and Hector Mine put a net Coulomb stress change right into that area. The area between Mecca and the south end of the Johnson Valley fault seems to have a pattern of microseismicity. I just wonder if there is going to be a third large quake in the Landers-Hector Mine sequence. Any ideas?
