My goal with EEC and by continuing to come to this site is to discuss earthquakes, prediction and preparedness--not job status or health woes. In the past 20 years, I have interviewed numerous scientists at the USGS. I know what I'm up against and I have not quit.
However, when we (yes, I'm guilty, too) get off topic and resort to name calling, nasty attacks about different points of view, etc., it gets unbearable. I believe we all have something to offer. And yes, I like to debate as long as it's civil. I don't want to delete threads. I just did that yesterday and the backlash was hurtful. E-mail me and I'll get you back on the site.
