Species Approximate Range (Hz) So you're saying there is pervasive precursory noise in the 23 to 45 KHz range, so omnipresent and strong that a almost half of all the dogs in the area were noticeably agitated, but nothing where we can hear it, just slightly lower frequency? Since elephants' hearing tops out at 12 KHz, why do you say they can hear quakes coming when we can't?
