This is EXACTLY why I setup the newsgroup alt.earthquake.predictions. It's public and cannot be edited once the poster hits [send].

The only problem at the moment is that GoogleGroups _STILL_ has not picked up the group. Unfortunately it seems that a good portion of those participating on this and other forums only know how to access usenet via GoogleGroups.
