Hi Petra. The quake just east of Hollister in on the Quien Sabe Fault. Those south of Hollister are on either the Paicines Fault, or the Tres Pinos Fault. The closest one east of Morgan Hill is on the Sprgs Fault, which by the way is listed as inactive. Maybe the alarm clock went off and woke it up. The next one east of Morgan Hill is on the very northern end of the Ortigalita Fault. The ones west of SJB are most likely the San Andreas, or the Zaynate-Vergeles Fault.

All of the faults with the exception of the Sprgs, Paicines and the Tres Pinos Faults (no known history) are capable of at least a 6.4Ml to 6.9Ml quake. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
