Unless you play the game with your ear tones or whatever else you are presuming is a physical response to earthquake precursory stimuli, there is no way to tell whether the tone is caused by the earthquake or is merely coincidental with the earthquake. Coincidence does not prove causality; ear tones have never been proven to be caused by earthquakes; thus it is unreasonable to conclude that the earthquake in Washington caused the ear tone. This is a simple deduction. There are a lot of reasons why people have ear tones but there are no good reasons for assuming that an earthquake hundreds of miles away could have caused it.
