Best fit is rather hard to calculate but I meant the quake which is closest in time, space and size to the predicted event, up to some reasonable limit in all parameters. I just thought your limits were too large.

It probably should be a separate table but keeping them together would let you avoid double scoring...a miss in one and a "close" in the other.
