Faults that break to the surface |
What does it mean when a fault breaks to the surface? Does that mean that the pure, raw fault itself is visible to the surface? I can't imagine their is such a thing because wouldn't that be too good to be true for scientists, they could pull up a picknic chair and watch for hours the actual plate tectonics. This has to be wrong right? If any fault does break to the surface, any in CA? Thanks!
