Hi Don as usual a wealth of info, I am very familar with the radon gas problem esp in Grd Junction Colo. area when it was found out that homes were built upon tailings from the Uraniun mill that had been shut down what a mess that turned out to be. the fill material was trucked to New Mex. and put into the "salt" container spot down there, what a joke that will turn out to be in the future think it is called WIPP, salt corrodes metal containers, PVC woild have been much better. Today the homes are "ventilated" bsmnts and crawl spaces with fans, fine as long as the power is on! Anyway my thoughts here are: granted radon gas may not be present in all areas but the "squeezing" effect of tetonic pressures may cause a release of gases and a "push upwards" effect on water levels in well shafts?? I guess what I am trying to find out is if any wells are being monitored?? there was a post on job boards about a well becoming artesian remember?? I am aware of hydrostatic pressure esp in Colo.. San Luis Valley SW Colo. Just kinda wondering if there is not a way to tap on line data that will give additional warnings before things "POP" I trust you have "felt" what is happening in your neck of the woods? Thanks my friend YOU are a true "Source" as is Petra! for what its worth... Scorpio
