With the policy that I have now, it wouldn't cover any part of the damage that I had before. But if I had a total loss it would be a very big help. From the Northridge quake, we had 4 houses in our tract that had lost there bearing walls and the houses had to be replaced. So from my perspective, the 562.00 that I pay annually isn't that bad of a price to pay for my investment. Its got a 15% deductible on the dwelling, 5000 personal property after the deductible, and a small stipend for additional living expenses. It also covers walkways and patios that are necessary for entrance, and other masonary, walls etc. that are necessary for structural integrity. India lost 10,000 people from a cyclone about a year or two ago as well. Because of these problems/priorities that other countries have, I wonder where the solution lies for mitigating earthquake hazards. Yeah, I know. Thats a dumb question. :-( Dennis
