dilational strain--Bay Area--Coyote Data

Hi All. It appears there is some dilational strain building in the Bay Area. This is with the Coyote data, which is located at the southern end of the Hayward fault. This also happens to be the part of the fault that is not moving. I have seen strain in this area before, but nothing like this. All of the other times this has been observed there wasn't a quake, but this particular time is does appear to be different then the other times. I won't know for sure until I see where it levels off and what kind of drop it has. For what it's worth I haven't made a correct call using the data for the Bay Area. What I have learned at SJB and Parkfield won't work for the Bay Area, or the Mammoth Lakes area. Take Care…Don in creepy town.
