This person at Caltech has been studing bees for quite awhile and found that they have a high concentration of magnetite in them. So they would be susceptible to changes in the magnetic field. I've noticed bees around before but haven't noticed any big concentration that would indicate a nest. I do find wasp nests from time to time. Dennis
